Famous for his caribous, Osuitok is also a master of diversity. Without doubt, he is one of the most talented and important Inuit sculptors. Whatever the subject, his carvings scream excellence for me, both in execution and disciplined imagination. He is a producer of fine art. Every time I look at one of his sculptures, whether a bird, loon, the fox woman, caribou, or just an imaginative abstraction, I consider myself very lucky to have it in in my home as part of my family.
